OCMThe OCM are market leading providers of coaching and mentoring qualifications and skills training for organisations and individuals. Established in 1998, The OCM’s holistic and practical approach creates consistently effective coach-mentors, whether working as a formal coach or developing coaching and mentoring skills as part of a leadership or managerial style. We also offer a number of additional products and services that support and augment our core capabilities, creating a high quality, diverse portfolio designed to meet all your coaching and mentoring needs.

Unlike many coaching and mentoring organisations, we advocate no single theoretical coaching model but encourage the serious development of a wide range of approaches to suit the variety of situations in which coaching and mentoring occurs. Our approach is essentially holistic and has been labelled as ‘Situational Coach-Mentoring’. All our programmes are consciously very rigorous and challenging to meet the highest possible standards
However, as coach-mentoring is essentially a practical skill, our approach is very practice orientated with a strong theoretical underpinning. Our focus is on the highly practical and experiential ‘self-managed learning by doing’. All our programmes have the benefit of being a fully blended experience with significant access to Internet-based self-assessments, knowledge and skills modules and video-based Master Classes from internationally recognised experts. However, it is a flexible experience and whilst you are guided through a structured programme, you are able to undertake both study and practice at a time and pace that suits your personal circumstances.

Starr Certificate in Coaching for Managers – Foundation Level 3
A four to six month programme using coaching tools and techniques  developed in business with learning focused on coaching within a typical leadership or management role that blends coaching into a natural leadership style

Certificate in Coach-Mentoring – Foundation Level 4
A six month blended programme suitable for those wishing to develop and extend their knowledge and skills in the context of individual coach-mentoring to support others.

Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring – Practitioner Level 5
A seven month blended programme suitable for specialists within organisations, senior managers and independent professionals working with senior and middle management.

Advanced Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring – Senior Practitioner Level 7
A 10 month blended programme suitable for specialists working with executives, directors and boards as well as senior managers and independent professionals working with senior and middle management.

Practitioner in Coaching and Mentoring (APEL) – Senior Practitioner Level 7
A tailor made programme to accredit experience coach-mentors at EMCC Senior Practitioner Level 7. The programme is designed to confirm competence and allows you to gain recognition by building a portfolio of evidence against the EMCC competency framework from prior experience and learning.
