Matthew Arrowsmith-Brown

Matthew specialises in working as a coach with professional service organisations. He has particular experience of coaching on career development, career transitions, and team and group leadership. He combines a pragmatic concentration on results with caring and insightful attention to individual needs.

Prior to training as a coach, Matthew practised as a solicitor, first with Slaughter and May in the City of London, and then with leading regional practice Mills & Reeve, where he was a partner for 25 years. His legal experience gives him particular insights into the issues facing professional advisors working in large firms.

Throughout his time as a partner, he was involved in management in various forms, including leading teams and spending some years on the executive board. He saw Mills & Reeve develop from a Norwich firm with a £2.5 million turnover into a firm with offices in Birmingham, Cambridge, London and Norwich and a £50 million turnover.

As well as being accredited by EMCC, he has an MSc in Coaching and Development from the University of Portsmouth Business School.
