EIA

Getting started

Deciding to apply for EIA shows your commitment to the highest standards in coaching/mentoring and your desire to develop and distinguish yourself as a professional coach/mentor.

When you apply you’ll be asked to provide detailed written evidence of how you meet the various assessment criteria. Our standards and expectations are high and your effort in completing your application will reflect this. During the application process you will be supported by the EIA Manager should you have any queries. If you would like in depth support with completing your application you have the option of one-to-one support with a trained assessor or attending a group workshop along with other fellow applicants (for which there is an additional fee).

Initially you may wish to consider whether you want to get an accreditation and develop through an EQA holder’s training programme as a first step, or do you feel you have the competencies and experience to go straight for an EIA.

You will also need to decide what level to apply for:

  • Foundation
  • Practitioner
  • Senior Practitioner
  • Master Practitioner

To help you assess the most appropriate level for your current practice you will need to look at the EIA Guide to Applying, which includes the EIA Assessment Criteria and you should also read the Competence Framework and the definitions of the four levels included in that.

Details of fees can be found by clicking the EIA Fees link in the left menu.
